We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager, Payroll with 15 years of experience to lead and manage payroll operations, with a primary focus on USA payroll and international payroll knowledge. This role requires a deep understanding of statutory compliance, remittances, vendor management, and payroll accounting. The Senior Manager will be responsible for ensuring accurate payroll processing, managing third-party vendors, and providing guidance during audits.
 
What you’ll do:  
  • USA Payroll Leadership: Lead and oversee the end-to-end USA payroll process, ensuring timely and accurate payroll execution, including benefits, deductions, and taxes.
  • International Payroll Management: Oversee payroll for multiple regions, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations, and staying updated on international payroll practices.
  • Statutory Compliance & Remittances: Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, as well as handling all statutory filings and tax remittances.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with third-party payroll vendors, ensuring they meet service level agreements (SLAs) and resolving any vendor-related issues.
  • Employee Support: Provide guidance and resolve payroll-related inquiries from employees, offering timely clarification on payroll discrepancies or questions.
  • Payroll Accounting: Oversee the accurate recording of payroll expenses, ensuring proper reconciliation with the general ledger and alignment with financial policies.
  • Audit Preparation & Support: Lead payroll-related audit activities, ensuring the availability of accurate records and compliance with internal and external audit requirements.
  • Stock Option Expertise: Accurately calculating and administering employee stock options, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and accounting standards.
 
  • Process Optimization: Identify and implement improvements in payroll processing, system integration, and compliance, driving efficiency and ensuring best practices.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team responsible for commission processing, ensuring timely and accurate execution of tasks.
  • Audit Support: Serve as the point of contact for internal and external audits related to commissions, providing necessary documentation and data as needed.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the finance, HR, and sales teams to ensure the integrity of commission payments and reporting.
  • Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and enhance commission processes, identifying areas for improvement in calculation, reporting, and reconciliation.
 
What you’ve done:   
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum 15 years of payroll experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial capacity.
  • Extensive experience with USA payroll, and knowledge of international payroll practices.
  • Working experience with ADP and Shareworks (Solium) for Equity and PIUs, proficiency in payroll software and ERP systems.
  • Advanced skills in Excel for payroll data analysis and reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of statutory payroll regulations in the USA, including tax remittances and reporting requirements.
